Alumnus Peter DiGiammarino, 1975 on Radio Show, "Critical Mass"

PetPeter Digiammarino, 1975er DiGiammarino '75, a BDIC alumnus and Commonwealth Honors College Advisory Board member was interviewed on October 14th for the radio show Critical Mass, geared to providing peer-level learning for middle-market CEOs. Mr. DiGiammarino started his interview with a description of his UMass Amherst and BDIC experiences, describing his "highly-engineered major" combining computer science, economics, and math, which prepared him for his graduate degree at the Sloan School at MIT. Twenty minutes in he also describes the transformative experience of serving as an Alumni Association Bateman Scholar in 2012 which forced him to distill insights from 30 years of leadership that he was teaching in a graduate course down to a 50 minute presentation for undergraduates and lay people.

Mr. DiGiammarino is a professional CEO who has run organizations for more than 30 years and is now sharing insights gained from those experiences with leaders and future leaders. He presented his framework, "Manage to Lead" to UMass Amherst students as an Alumni Association Bateman Scholar in 2012.
