Proposal Writing Class application

The process of admission into the BDIC major begins with applying to take the 1-credit Proposal Writing Class (BDIC 396). This class is where you will formulate your BDIC concentration in detail and choose the classes that will become your individualized course of studies. The application form asks you to write a brief essay on your intended area of study and also asks you to include an unofficial transcript. The earliest that you may take BDIC 396 is in the second semester of your freshman year.

Your application will be evaluated by BDIC faculty and staff based on your academic qualifications and the suitability of your proposed area of concentration for BDIC.

Applications for the Fall Proposal Writing Class are due in the BDIC office by April 10th and for the Spring Class by November 15th.

All documents and forms are also available in hardcopy in the BDIC office at 230 Commonwealth Honors College.
